The daned varments got in My yard again saw about 20 got 2 rounds in one and she went back where she came from. Hope the buzzards have a fine meal. And this was after $1700 of fence and weeks worth of work. Don't ever let anyone tell you that they won't go thru a culvert. Hope to never see a wild hog again.

I'm sorry to hear that clum. Is there any way you can put some sort of grate over the culvert? Re-bar maybe?

If you did not "L" shape the bottom 12 to 18 inches of the fence toward the outside, where the pigs will try to get under the fence, as they will dig right next to the fenceline, then add another 12-inch of fence laid flat and hog wire ringed (wonder where that term originated) to the bottom of the existing fence.  Once they start digging and realize they are never going to get through the fence fabric, they will quit!  They will go under a fence that stops even with existing grade and will eventually dig under one that is dug into the ground vertically.  They will QUIT if the fabric is laid in their direction (2-feet is better) as they are not smart enough to back up a foot or two to start digging.

BTW, I have had hogs to shoot for all of my 25-years of hunting property ownership.  Kill them ALL.  There is no End of Line with pigs.  They offer excellent 24/7/365 hunting opportunities where the Wildlife Office and laws allow.

Call me a Die Hard Deer Hunters with a more than average opportunity to shoot hogs.

Land owner, it's hard to believe they can reproduce so fast. Some say they get two litters off before ya can even load the gun. Up here in Wis. many hope hogs take off here. Never read any you southern boys agreeing to that one though. Up here we will kill them all,,,, it seems.

That's a goodun right there.  Have not heard it before, but like it immeasurably.

Many southern localities, Florida in particular, have Ponce de Leon to thank for bringing the pigs with him from "home" port in Puerto Rico in 1513 (originally from Spain much earlier) then turning them loose to graze free while he explored.

Truly, if you do not have pigs in your environment, I can only stress to you to KEEP IT THAT WAY.  Your landscape, indigenous wildlife, and most importantly hunting opportunities will be significantly WORSE after the introduction of pigs.  It has been 500 YEARS since the beasts were intorduced into the local environment, and it hasn't been good for deer, turkeys, quail, doves, snakes, turtles, man or machines.
