ted williams 20 ga. model 200. My 90+ yr old grandmother had it in her closet for "just in case". I cleaned it up -very dusty. the wood is still nice and finish is in great shape only a few scratches. seems to function OK. has a Poly choke type choke system on the end of the ribbed bbl. Now before someone gets sentimental on me.. My grandparents had several other guns that were handed down to the grandkids that were nice. ( I ended up with my grandfathers beautiful damascus bbld 12ga side by side even if its just a wall hanger!) this one was the one no one wanted. I don't recall ever seeing him hunting with it, he liked side by sides. So here it sits.... I am thinking:
1. selling it? not worth much!
2. chopping off bbl to 24" and stock to make a kids hunting gun? I do have daughters so leaning this way.
3. chopping off the bbl to 18.5" and cutting stock down to make a defense gun for my mom? this was her dads gun and she is short and the gun is too long for her.
4. leave bbl with the growth on the end and just shortening stock to fit my kids?
5. Leave it as is
what yall think?
