T/C Pistol Pac - what's it worth?

I just saw something in a pawn shop that caught my eye.  It's a old style Contender (screw on foreend, but no finger grooves on the grip) in what I belive was called the T/C Pistol Pac.  It is a case with pockets for the spare barrels.  This setup has a frame with three 10" blued octagonal barrels - .223, .30-30, and .22 Hornet.  All the barrels seem to be in good condition and the frame looks good too.  There's even an old rail mount for the Bushnell Phantom pistol scope in one of the pockets that doesn't look like it has ever been mounted.  Of course the pawn shop was asking $700 for the whole shooting match, but without any haggling they said they'd sell for $650.  Still seems like too much - anyone got an idea what it should sell for?

I'd expect to get the frame for $150-$175 at a pawn shop and not offer anymore than $100 per barrel.  But I've seen pawn shops wanting $250 for an old Taurus Model 85.  It all depends on what they gave for it.

I found a similar setup awhile back at an establishment of your description.  I had an early frame, three oct barrels, a case with the three pockets for barrels, and a Bushnell Phantom scope w/mount.  The calibers were .44 hotshot(w choke and wrench), 22LR, and .222Rem.  I gave in the neighborhood of the low $400's and that included tax.  All barrels were in good condition with the .222 being in a little better shape than the rest.  None had any rust. pitting, or any major wear.  Hope that helps.  Remember! the older frames will have to be converted if you want easy-open features and they may not work with the newer barrels.  Hope that helps.

I just bought one from a private seller and paid $400 for a mint old frame, a 10" 218 bee, 10" 30 herrett, a 14" 44 mag and a box of 218 bee ammo. This all came in a hard case. Unless you absolutely must have that gun, I would pass on it.

Thanks for the replies.  I was only mildly interested so I didn't haggle and walked away.  Wish I could get some of the deals you guys get, seems eveyone around here knows how easy it is to sell T/C barrels on EBay and no one lets them go for reasonable (reasonable to me anyway) prices anymore.
