Spent the day yesterday at the "Foxfire Living History" day. Various people who have maintained the skills of the pioneers in everything from weapon making to building cabins to use of native plants, etc. While there I bought the entire set of Foxfire books, IMO some of the best around on the subjects.
I had collected a few older issues, but some are hard to find, so I was glad to know they are still very much in print and available.
Check out the Foxfire website, and visit if you can. They have a living history demonstration twice a year, spring and fall where all the artisans are there to explain their crafts. Other weekends, its hit and miss as to who will be there.
