    Cosby blames the gun for crime,  I guess because guns (illegal ones) are often associated in killings, robberies etc..

Like several other personalities out there such as fonda, penn and even the dixie chicks. They believe once they are famous in their trade. We should believe that they are now the go to person for all the problems in the world. Ego's make you do strange things and these people certainly have BIG ego's.


As a kid I enjoyed Bill Cosby when he was a comedian without a political agenda. Now I rank him down there with jackson and sharpton. People who only speak to hear themselves talk, and I don't care to listen.

  Yes; such a trauma can make a person speak more out of emotion, than logic.  Quite a few years have passed however and one may think Bill would by now, have it figured out.  Not being in his shoes however, I can't speak for him.
    BTW: Was the killer of Bill's son wearing a hoodie...might want to look into that..those hoodies seem to cause all kinds of crime..same as guns !

You've got a point there; that's at least as true as... many whites are racsits/prideful idiots, but the are not interested enough in educating themselves to know it. But no one is just one thing, so I don't dismiss them.
 
I was disappointed to hear Mr Cosby's comments, but he's someone of stature, otherwise we'd have not heard it. Perhaps you could write Mr Cosby - who has an earned doctorate?  - and suggest some reading with which he can educate hisself.

Obama has the Nobel Peace prize, want to write him and ask why? Having a doctorate does not mean you are not part of the extreme left, just that he probably knows it. As for racsism I would have to venture that there is a far larger percentage of Blacks that are racsists than Whites in any given population. In one hour I can prove this without doubt.

Bill Cosby is the only high profile  black to criticize the way blacks act. I have several guns. Saying that i may have a change of heart if my child were murdered for no reason. Walk a mile and try to understand where he might be coming from.

No joke. Bill Cosby and I both have some things in common. We both dropped out of high school, we both went into the navy, we both later graduated from college and went to graduate school. He went further than I did (I never got a doctorate) and starred in more movies.

I use to roll on the ground laughing so hard at his albums. I loved his stand up. Funny and clean.
Old Weird Harold and the 9th street Bridge was so funny.

And when he said " we use to steal the wheels of baby carriages in the neighborhood and lay low for a week so they could make go-cart racers.  -  as a kid I could relate.  He has brought so much laughter to the world and what happened in his personal life was tragic. Some folks cannot ever recover from that kind of senseless tragedy . They can never come back from losing a child.

For me, Bill gets a pass.  misdirected or not , He is a father who is still grieving after so many years. No parent should ever be forced to bury their child.

With trying to walk a mile in his shoes would it be logical to ban cars and trucks if his son had been killed by a vehicle that the driver went crazy and hit the boy for no apperant reason ? I feel sorry for him and his loss . That however does not dismiss his need to place blame on the shooter not the tool. My youngest son was hit by a drunk driver . Although his truck was a total loss he survived , I DON"T BLAME THE VEHICLE ON THE BOOZE IT WAS THE DRIVER . My oldest son was also in a wreck where they had to cut him out of the cab of the truck he was driving , the crossover tool box and bed of the truck was over the cab and the engine was in the cab , trans was where the bed had been THE ACCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY THE OTHER DRIVER USING DRUGS IT WAS NOT THE VEHICLE HE WAS DRIVING . So although I have not walked in his shoes we have walked similar ground and as one "man" to another I would suggest he place blame where it needs to be not promote a worthless political goal.

Blame the person, not the tool!
It doesn't matter what color or which side, place the blame where it needs to be.
That is the problem with so many things in our country, people don't place the blame in the right place and until they do it will almost always come down to a race thing!
