i own eight marlins, in .22 to 45-70 and and nine winchesters in .22 to 45-60 and shoot them all,to me the winchesters are slimmer and lighter for carrying,but the marlin,s are not that bad in that dept. both the winchesters and marlins are accurtt enough for the game hunted. and both come in fun caliburs to big bear medicine, two of my favorits are a early(new model) 95 marlin in 45-70 and a winchester 94 timber carbine in .444 marlin. it all comes down to are you a chevy or ford man. eastbank.
