Did anyone take time to ...run the figures ?   The total profits for all those corps listed above by CTJ comes to $96.8 billion..
By their own figures..$78+ billion tax on $96.8 billion...sounds like well over an 80% tax rate, rather than 35%..

If they have fed us an untruth concerning the rate of tax...can we believe the figures they furnished as alleged "profits" ?

I have a question.  Did anyone do anything illegal?
And another question...why would anyone want to pay more taxes when we are learning every day the tax money is going into corruption?
We should pay as little as possible so they can't party on it, or run guns to criminals that come back and kill us. After they clean up the mess in our government maybe we can talk about paying more taxes.

The Donations do not take into effect the subsidiares as well
Look at GE and all the companies they own.
From ABC and all the free press they gave Obama over the past 5 years,   What is a campaign coverage that is favorable to a cadidate and agressive against his opposition worth?

I wish the leftists would stop using the term "tax subsidies".  it sounds like the government is writing them a check.  they just use the tax codes like I do.

Well, I guess then, it's legal...it also seems it's legal for almost half the people not paying any taxes at all, and it's also legal for a large percentage of those to receive checks for money they never paid at all, which is free money..."earned income" or such nonesense...
And the point still stands, why should anyone pay anything until the government cleans itself up.  They shouldn't.  Cause we don't know where it goes, and when we find out where some of it goes we ain't too happy about that.

So lets forget trying to get more taxes from anyone right now.  We got work to do first.

Obammy and his gang had two full years to pull the "loopholes" for ALL taxpayers..by adopting a flat or sales tax..but they didn't do squat.  Now, I'm not saying the Republicans would either..but it's the democrats who are squealing the most concerning "fair share" etc..
How many billions of bucks would they have saved had they not been so profligate ? E.g...a trillion dollar debt which did virtually nothing for the country or it's people.
Many here have enough wisdom and discernment, that we expect a leader to LEAD.   The Obammys should have set the pace by denying themselves the very numerous, multi/multi million dollar vacations.
If they need a break, Camp David is very nearby and very nice..plus it saves the country Million$$$.  Looks like the GSA and other spendthrift agencies are taking a clue from the top.

If Congress can write a tax code to promote social and ecomonic development to promote their values of the nation and that is legal.  Marrage penalty, deductions for kids, morguage interest, tax deductions for certain behavior .....  All Tax loopholes.
Remember Obama railing against the Tax loopholes he ment all deductions, including your kids and
Then they can write  similar rules for corperations to get those same loopholes.
Liberals can not complain about congress being able to manipulate the tax code to so the people making more have ot pay a higher tax on the last dollars they earn above a certain amount and then yell that the coperations are getting a break.

The only thing that really matters is nobody, regardless of how much money they have, should pay more taxes to a corrupt government because it will only grow government larger yet, which is the main problem.  There is NOTHING that says a large corporation making record profits that pays more taxes will go to anything good...so why make anyone pay more.  That is common sense.  Why grow the beast larger?

It doesn't matter if billionares don't pay enough in someones eyes, it does not matter if corporations are making record profits, the only thing that matters is we need to starve the beast to make it smaller.  It's seems really short sighted just to want wealthy people and corporations to pay more money knowing it will do no good and only grow the corrupt government.  If you hate corporations fine..if you hate record profits, fine, but why the hell would you want their money to go through THIS government?  If you took ALL the money from all the coporations at once, you would not see a dime of it the next day, or know where it went.  Some of it would likely be used to reelect Obama.

Does anyone get this?  Does anyone here realize that THIS government could pee away all the wealth in the country and likely use it against you, then what you going to do?  Right now your government is way more of a problem than any coporation, if you got them under control you probably would not be BEGGING for other people's money anyways.  This government pees away about 2.6 trillion dollars per year of tax money, and spends an extra 1.5 trillion besides that that they don't have.  How you going to "fix" that?  Cracking down on Bill Gates?  Beating up an oil company?  They are the only ones paying most the taxes already.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm getting sick of hearing about how wealthy people and corporations and profits would bail us all out by funneling it through our sorry government.  Makes no sense to me at all.

It appears that the more money government spends, the more whining there is about corps, and rich people not paying enough taxes. Doesn't make a lick of sense to me either.
If people want to whine about something, I think it needs directed at the run away wasteful spending, by our way over bloated government.
