many of you read about the guy in milwaukee that thwarted the armed robbery attempt in milwaukee a while back.
he was grocery shopping with his wife, witnesses a thug walks in and sticks a shotgun in the cashiers face.   he answers the call to protect his community, and is now getting hammered with the legal expenses.   anyone who wants to contribute to help him out, let me know and i will send you the information.  even a few bucks helps.   right now he is on the hook for 5k.
   thanks.

What a sad state this is and just underlines the reason why people don't get involved. "Seldom a good Deed ..........."

aint that the truth.  and the reluctance of people to help this guy out is astounding.    i guess it boils down to people being better at talking than doing.   sure makes you think about sticking your neck out for anyone.

i guess i expected the nra to sell the guy out.   what i didnt expect, is gun owners not caring about this at all.   i think of the 5 places i posted this, 3 people took personal action and helped the guy out.

evidently, people talk a good ballgame but that is about it.   it isnt any wonder that local, state, and federal government think they can do anything and get away with it....because they can.

they wont release his gun to him.   some have said "buying a new gun would be cheaper".    yes. true.  but it would also be rolling over to the city of milwaukee's legal system, who are anti gun as hell.    it is just another way for them to push and bully a law abiding citizen.  and when the citizen's see this and do not care, it is a buzzkill.  the guy is a member of the nra, and cant even get anyone to return a phone call.    this is pathetic.

Myronman3 - could you post a link or two regarding this mess? Is the the black guy - a Muslim? - who stopped a robbery?
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Sorry to have made an ass of myself. An over reaction to something that disturbs me.

And religious belief means what in this context? Are you trying to point out that Milwaukee hates all gun owners, regardless of their beliefs.
no, I'm trying to suss out if it's the story I read about some while back, is all.

Perhaps you are the worst sort of racist I know of.

No, that's not me.

When is the last time you said the man is a credit to his race by the way?
I don't think I have ever used that cliche, but I have heard it on a TV show or something.

So is this the black Muslim guy I'm remembering, or not? I don't recall name of the guy, or city, it just sounds familiar. Perhaps you will provide the link, EQ?

Who is causing him the legal troubles? The store seems to of left him off the hook & the police. I'd imagine the wounded robbers may try to sue him for medical costs? Of course if they were to shoot someone you couldn't get a dime out of them.
