Dinny, I have two daughters, now 36 and 40 yr.s old.   I can tell you that you are a lucky man, except for the part where you have to walk them down the aisle and "give" them away..... :(

Congratulations. Even though I found out that I had inherited absolutely no parenting genes or skills of any kind after we adopted our three boys, and parenting for me has been one constant torment having to stick with it for the last 15 years,  I do love hearing about folks who like being parents...the best of luck. Folks like you are the only hope for our future generations. Keep your head down and powder dry.

Many thanks to all. It looks like I'll have 12 days with my boy before I leave. These are days I will not soon forget. Something about babies really makes me all funny inside. I decided to stay home this morning instead of turkey hunting.::) Maybe it was the crying until 3 am.... :o

It was only D2 crying until about 0200 when I joined him following 4 hours of insomnia. Sad but true...I will get more sleep while I'm deployed. ::)
