Ithica Gun Company now making guns in Ohio

  Just read that Ithica gun Co. is now located in Upper Sandusky , OH and are making a real nice 1911 pistol there.
  Anyone know anymore about there operation in OH ?

I think there is another gun company in U. Sandusky.  Hi Point maybe? 
 
Here is the one you are looking for, website says they make a 1911 and a bunch of variations of the Model 37 pump shotgun.

  I dont do much upland game hunting anymore but ,  Back in the day when I did I would have a new Mod. 37 in 28 ga. before you could blink. I owned them in 12, 16 & 20 ga. and a 28 would have been sure death to any game I encountered,  Im getting sweaty just thinkin about one.

Hi-Point is located down around the Dayton area. Checked out that 1911. WOW, wouldn't mind having another .45, but I think when it happens, that Ruger SR1911 in stainless for about half that much might get a serious look. I like to keep my money in America, but unless I hit the lottery, that ones a little out of my league. gypsyman

I know this is an old topic. I was browsing through looking at the Ohio Delphos fall shoot. and saw this thread.

I have a Model 100 20 GA side X side. It is a great shotgun and has killed it's share of small game. Lots of rabbits, and quail, a few pheasants and even a few woodcock. This gun was not made by Ithaca, it was made by SKB and manufactured in Japan. It was imported by Ithaca. It would be one of the last guns I own to go, if ever.

BTW I have 2 12 GA model 37's They are a very good shotgun.

HiPoints are made in Mansfield, Ohio - about a half mile from my brother's house.
 
Marketing and Distribution is in Dayton.
