H&R Talo Squire
« on: April 18, 2012, 01:36:34 PM »
I just got an H&R Talo Square 20 gauge shotgun. I really can not find a lot of info on it though.  It is an unfired closet queen with a few marks from getting banged around in the closet.  S.N. is AS204xxx. Is this just a shotgun receiver or can it fit riflie barrels too. Oh, and how old is it.  Thanks Don.

See the year of mfr sticky, I think you mean Talo Squire, it's probably a model 58,  H&R won't fit any barrels to it, but you may be able to fit low pressure rifle barrels to it yourself.

Ok it has a model 58 20 ga barrel. What is considered "low presure rounds"

Double check the FAQ, but I think it's limited to .45-70 (trapdoor), .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum or .22 Hornet.  I'm not an expert though.

Those and the 30-30 would be considered low pressure and have been available from H&R Inc on their old cast iron frames.
