Proper scope
« on: January 28, 2004, 03:38:44 PM »
Hello All, I recently took ownership od a Steyr Mannlicher Schoeaur, 270 cal., model 1956.  It has a weaver scope which is ok but not the scope intended for that rifle because the eyepiece interfears with the rear safety due to its size.  Been surfing around and found that either a Kahles or Lyman all Amerian 3x scope will fit.  The rings are 1" and spaced about 61/2" apart, making them too wide for conventional scopes. The rings are see thru, so the entire scope must be 1" dia overall.  Any suggestions where to get one or anyone have one to sell.   thanks!

Blackjac :  When I am looking for a older scope to put on a older rifle to have it in the condition of the time it was manufactured I usually go to e-bay and in about a week I will find what I am looking for.  Also posting here on the clasified section may bring in something. :D    JIM
