found another 16ga.
« on: April 20, 2012, 03:33:16 PM »
I found one now I found another!  I was looking around one of my haunts and found another 16 ga.  This one is a pardner I think.  I did not take a close look at it.  If any body is looking for one, PM me and I can tell you who to talk to.

Do you happen to know what type choke it is, and how long the barrel is?

Not sure about the length, I'm guessing to be a 24" and I believe he said modified choke. . .

If it's a modified choke I would be interested in it to go along with my full choke H&R 16. I would appreciate the info on the seller in a PM if you would do that...Thanks....<><....:)

I wish 16ga was more popular, I love shooting my Model 12 16ga.  I would love to own an H&R as well.

I just bought a like-new 16ga Topper 158, and can't wait to shoot it.    BTW, are the H & R barrels interchangeable - would a 20ga, or a rifle barrel mate with this stock / action ?   While I was able to find loaded shells locally, [ the local skeet range operator has cases of 16ga that he got stuck with years ago, and nobody will buy ] .... I am having difficulty finding hulls to reload.... placed ad  ' Reloading '

Congrats, second hand barrels may or may not fit, they aren't meant to be interchangable, but sometimes they fit fine, sometimes they don't, see the barrel fitting info in the FAQs, only low pressure rifle barrels can be used on the cast iron M158 frame.

BTW, I removed your WTB ad from the WTB General forum, we don't allow duplicate ads, be sure to read the classified rules sticky before posting in the classifieds.  ;)

xzqzq, Check out 16 ga.com, they have a listing of vendors for 16 ga. reloading supplies, also check out some of your local retailers, they probably have factory shells.  I was in Bass Pro Shop and they had several from different companies.  Wal-Mart, although they only have one brand and load, they have 'em.  If you live close to a place that has a Rural King, they seem to have a pretty good assortment.
