Colt Delta Elite 10mm
« on: April 21, 2012, 04:00:21 AM »
Would a used Colt Delta Elite 10mm made in the 1980's be preferred over a current production gun? Am looking for one to use for carry around the place and for a sidearm for deer and hog hunting?

Thanks, JW

I would have to say yes!  But the Glock 20 is also a nice gun.

Of course, the Delta Elite is a classic.  I recently purchased an EAA Witness Match.  Fits my hand well.  If the glock fits yours, then it's hard to beat.  You can get an aftermarket 6-inch barrel if you ever want to use it as a primary hunting gun and the Glock 20 was built from the ground up as a 10 mm.  Some guns were built on smaller caliber platforms and that can cause durability problems.  Don't know if the model 20 Gen 4 is out yet or not.  The Gen 4s have a slimmer, more contoured grip.  Even the 20 SF felt bulky to my hand.
