Powderman, in your other post about college coruption with the grant for 17 million to U.of Oregon. I see this tieing in, on a much larger scale. Since the '60's, when govt. got it's nose involved with student loans and grants to college's and university's, price to go to, and finish college has skyrocketed. I wonder if any of the politicians and professors have any idea that their gravy train will be coming to an end! The teachers and presidents of college's have such inflated wages and benifits, when a correction is made, and it will happen, what a serious let down for many. How many grads oweing $20,000-$40,000 in student loans are never going to pay them off working at McDonalds or Home Depot. gypsyman

I see another bubble, I have seen it for sometime.
All these big and small (supposed) colleges popping up all over the place. Catering to returning G.I. s wanting to go to school and make something of their lives, but what it is doing is flooding the market with fresh students with no life or work experience every year and limited amount of jobs to work. We all know when the government picks up the tab its a huge cash cow that needs to be milked until run dry.
I recently talked to a instructor at a local tech. school about the up coming graduating class. He stated that their was only 2 in the class he would give the nod to a employer to hire. He said they are lazy, disruptive, and spoiled, and this is a field of study that needs none of this.

if they went to trade school, they could get work.  there's plenty of jobs here if you don't mind a little grease under your fingernails.
