What big plans for summer do you have?
« on: April 23, 2012, 04:01:14 AM »
Now that most all trapping is done I'm curious what big plans anyone has for summer. I plan to try to attend a couple of the small district trapping roudies. Then there is NTA in August over in MN. Got a turkey permit to try to fill first week in May and I'd like to get back out now try to find a few Morels. Seems once I get into the warm weather time flies and were back to fall before I know it. Do have one what I call a big trip for me in July, my niece is getting married and she lives in NH. Thats a long trip/ drive for someone like me who's longest trip any time in my life has usually been to attend NTA.
What is everyone else got on schedule.
I see today on the news some tried to land an plane on the water up by RdFx.

Yeppers, a replica of a  Sopwith Camel??   Ran out of gas and nose down in lake.  Pilot okay, just wet, fishermen picked him up.  Plane was out of water   by next day and in hangar.  Engine needs to be tore down and new electrical  equipment put in.  Tom are you going to dist  1-2-3?   I hear Dick and Mary Ann are going to dist 6, im not.

You have the land already?   Hope you have alot of land around where you build your cabin so you  arent crowded in..  Access to cabin site  not encumbered?

You will never see me in shorts, it has been cold there more times than hot.
All we can do is hope.

Tom, i remember those hot  days next to the wildlife park.  I remember the first time when they brought  one of the adult timber wolves over on a chain.  The handler had the wolf put his front paws up on his shoulders and the wolf was looking down at him.....( gulp)   Dont know how  pure in  blood the wolf was but  i know  Frank Glaser  Alaskas Wolf Man had  some 3/4 wolves in his  sled dogs and  handled them but with respect and iron hand.   That was some hot rondezvous!
