Price check on 22-250 Rem
« on: January 29, 2004, 03:29:37 PM »
Hey folks,

Looking fo some help here. I looked a an older remington 700 with the scroll type walnut stock? It was chambered in 22-250 and had a very heavy barrel factory barrel. I'd rate the gun %90+. Any thoughts on a price with the limited info I have?

thanks

ADL???
BDL???
Do you know how it groups?
Any rust or pitting inside the barrel?
Any idea what decade it was made in? (Most early to mid '70s were very
accurate.)

It could be worth anywhere from $100 (for the action if the barrel is junk)
to $400. It WOULD be easier to say with a little more information.
We need to change our politicians
like we do dirty diapers.............
for the same reason.

Sorry, I saw It on the way out and half way home I started thing about it. It had the fancy-er stock monte carlo and checkering scroll type design.

Definetly older, 70's sounds correct. Very minty bore and wood. Jeweled bolt and very heavy barrel.

I was really tempted to get it but I have a mid 60's 788 in 22-250 that my father gave me (took my first deer with it). I just like older gun and I thought it was neat.

I don't know how it groups , good barrel and bore.

thanks

Looked again it doesn't say bdl or adl.  Just 700 remington and it has a hinged floorplate.
