Muzzleloader Turkey

I got this turkey on opening day in Indiana.  Three two year olds came up a long ridge.  Two of them were fighting with each other.  I shot the first one that got close enough.  I had a feeding hen decoy out.  It was about 11:00.  I heard gobbles all morning.

Were you using a 12 guage?
Goex 2F powder or Pyrodex or other powder?
What shot size?
How does it pattern at a distance of 30 yds. or more?
 
I've considered purchasing a modern muzzleloader shotgun, for geese, with choke tubes. Turkey hunting with one would be just as exciting. It seems as though ML shotguns shake the ground more than modern shotguns...there's a bit deeper "thud" sound to them.
 
What did the turkey weigh?
How long was the beard?
How long were the spurs?

on the way is that a new Englander that you were using

New Englander with Hastings choke tube (have to switch choke tubes to load).
90 gr 2F Goex / 2 oz #5 shot
20 lbs, 21mm spurs, 10 inch beard.

why do you have to switch the choke to load cant you load the barrel
with it off then put it back on

 i thought that you would use a funnel so you would not spill powder/shot
