Metalform Magazines for 1911
« on: April 29, 2012, 04:05:11 AM »
Has anyone used Metalform 1911 Colt magazines?  Just wonder about the quality. Saw some at  gun show and the vendor said that Metalform made magazines for Colt. Just like to get opinions on them in case I run into some more.  New, about what do they sell for? The ones I saw were new and the dealer was asking $25. a piece.

I haven't used Metalform, but here's an article:

Brownell's sells them for 18.99

I have over 50 of them in various flavors that I have used since 1981 or so. They run forever and are a great value for the $$'s.  Buy them with confidence. Wilson mags were actually Metalforms for years as were many other top names in the 1911 world.

Check Brownells for a better deal than $25 depending on material, base pad and rounds held.

CDNN Sports sells 7 round 1911 Metalforms $9.99 and 8 rounders for $12.99. Watch their sales, you can get them for less than that. I bought several of the 7 round metalforms; they work great.
