New renditions of the Stevens Favorite are still being made. And, they are still a cheap firearm.
They are still a pretty good rifle, but they are still cheaply made, if that makes a difference.
 
As for parts, I have two of them and I have never needed any parts.
 
Do a web search under Savage Stevens and look for Favorite.

I'd give my eye teeth to get my hands on a Varner,but they went bankrupt.Maybe thats what happens when a small company tries to put a quality .22 on the market,they just can't compete with the big companies flooding the market with cheap reproductions

My Stevens Favorite reproductions are good rifles. I have a 22Lr and a 22 Mag, great to throw in the truck and go plinking.

'Wisners' makes some parts for the Stevens actions and they are well made. The guns (original and current) are a bit crudely made but entirely serviceable. The Varners were very well made but the company failed.... All are fairly weak actions a bit less than a rolling block(No.4), except the 44 1/2, which is nearly as strong as a high wall.
