Note the pic of a 9mm to make sure everybody knows that handguns and murder go together. Actually it was a sgl shotgun blast. Only a few miles from me. I know the dead mans family well. In  the past week there have been 3 home invasions reported and all have resulted with the homeowner shooting the BGs. POWDERMAN.  :( :(

powderman, the article at the link had a domestic violence call and no further information. How do you get your subject line from that? The link has nothing to do with anything that you cite in your complaint. ear

I believe this may be the story PM is referring to. Most of the stories like this the media reports, they most always show a picture of a handgun. They want to get the message out to people that don't know any better. Its like they are saying "look how bad handguns are" whether a handgun was used or not. They also never report that the homeowner had every right to shoot the intruder. The media we have today, their purpose seems to be to instill in the peoples minds that are clueless, that all guns are bad, and they are not needed. Its never the bad guys fault. Its always about the guns used to stop the bad guys.

This link relates to the subject line but I don't see anything negative about guns at this link. ear

The original link is about the same incident, the second one just provides more info. However the first link does have an associated pic of a Beretta 9MM.

I predict that if this trend continues there will be a lot fewer home invasions in your area in the future.

The second story doesn't exactly sound like your typical home invasion either. Did you catch this part?
Phillips is a soldier stationed at Ft. Knox and is married to the daughter of Toby Knott. Materials used in the manufacturing of meth were removed from the trunk of the Cobalt by Wemes and thrown in the field prior to him ramming the side of the mobile home. Those materials were removed by a KSP Drug Task Force Officer and properly disposed.
That was the car of the woman being pursued, kinda sounds like she and the dead man may have been in the drug business. That is not at all clear but it does seem there was a drug connection there of some sort. Maybe Raylan Givens can sort it out.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

In the link I read there was:
1) Domestic violence
2) Trailer home
3) Meth
4) Kentucky

DDZ. Thanks for the followup link, same situation.
EAR. I posted the 1st link to show how the local media tries to demonize the handgun. I appologize for not posting the update, the 2nd story didn't show the 9mm. The boys Mom is a dear family friend, we will be  going to the funeral. I'm glad the soldier was armed. Thats what you can expect kicking in a door in rural KY. The boys Dad killed himself several yrs ago after suffering a severe stroke, I don't think Josh ever got over that. POWDERMAN.  :o :o
