My latest Refinish...
« on: April 30, 2012, 07:55:40 AM »
I know you guys are probably getting a little bored with this addiction.  ::)

But I thought I'd share it anyway, I used the Cabot Colonial Maple stain on it.
I thought you'd be interested because it resembles the original color.
Other than that nothing special.  :P

That's a 35 Rem barrel with an old Weaver K2.5 sitting in it.  ;)

She's a beauty! I prefer blondes and I remove the factory finish on all of mine.

That 35 Rem with a Weaver K2.5 is a hard to beat combination.

Do you use a chemical stripper on the original stock, or just sanding off the factory finish?

Giving the generous proportions of the Handi stocks  ::) , I just sand them.

Little too bright for my taste, but you do a good job putting on a wood-finish.  ;)

Old Fart - Since you have that addiction for refinishing stocks, let me know when you run out of stocks to work on.
I got a couple that need a little work, just think, me helping you, you helping me.  ;) ;D ;D ;D

Nice looking job.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

I married a blonde.   She's not done refinishing me.

(And, actually, she's done a pretty good job.   I'm a better person for having married her.)
