yeah, and Ron Paul would leave the abortion question up to the likes of Jerry Brown and his girlie men.
not to mention the interpretation of the Constitution.  Illinois is trying to disarm gun owners, but according to RP, that's their choice. ::)

Yup, he's not evil...just let's people make their own descisions, unlike that socialist baby killer, Romney, who put his signature on laws with his own hand!

Ahhhh......the ripe stench of hyppocracy is still adding flavor to the air!

so, you would let our Illinois friends be disarmed.  who's the hypocrite here?
you're sounding more like the typical federal LEO who doesn't mind if guns are outlawed as long as you keep yours.
several states are stomping on the 2nd amendment rights, and you think it's okay????
you never have an answer, except to yell about Romney being a baby killer. so?  I didn't vote for him.

#1. Our "Illinois Friends" made their own beds when they voted for the representation they have.

#2. Not only is Romeny a baby killer, he's ALSO signed into law a permanant ban on guns! Yeah I bet he'll be a big help to Illinois gun owners...uh huh!

#3. YOU sound like one of those who want the fed to control everything. One of those Big Government lovers who's answer to everything is to expand the buracracy, force states to be in compliance or else, and tax and spend. Before you start telling others what they sound like.....think really hard about what you are sounding like. Big government control...socialism......yup! That's gonna make you free alrighty.

Now that's funny.  Who's being the hypocrate?  Romney just did what RP wants those at the state level to do.  RP would have saluted Romney for doing what he did.  LOL

I see.  unlike you, I care about the rights of people in Ill., Ca., Ma., and other states where rights are being infringed.
under your criteria, the Constitution is a worthless piece of paper. you seem to think that those people got what they deserve and you won't waste any sweat on them.
the GOOD people who live in those areas deserve the protection of the Constitution. but you would deny them that protection.  Eric holder, cuts crooked, hussein obama, all the same.
you'll fit right in with the brown shirt army that will finish off the Constitution.

I see.......you think that states rights are something to be dissed, like your heros Romeny and Obama! Talk about brown shirts. ::) Guess that's why you can justify voting for a baby killer while talking out the other of your mouth about killing babies :P You sir, are a phony! A hypocrite, who thinks that making outlandish statements about others makes himself justified.

I got a suggestion for you.......go read the Constitution. ( I  know you will claim you don't need too, but do your self a favor and read it anyway)

There is not a no abortion clause in the constitution.

Neither is there a clause in the Constitution noting a right to abortion.  In fact, for the first roughly 200 years of this country, there was no such "right" under the Constitution.

I don't disagree , however for those that believe in Don't Tread on Me small Govt , and intrusion on personal liberties,
They sure want State and Fed GOVT intrusion and dictating every aspect of a person life. Bedroom , contraception, abortion , etc.. etc... cant have it both ways. It's called taking personal responsibility for your own actions. The Govt has no role dictating. Though abortion is not a choice our family would even consider it is not the role of Govt to decide.
An individual will have to answer to their Lord and Savior.

again I ask ,

The Jewish faith believes the life of the mother is of greater importance than the life of an unborn child. All humanly possible actions should be taken to preserve the mothers life if a choice needs to be made. So if you outlaw abortion, you are  now treading on the beliefs of another religion.

That's nothing but a red herring.  Virtually every abortion law written makes exception when the LIFE (not merely lifestyle, mental health, etc.) of the mother is endangered.

really ??? ? you better catch up on current events my friend, or pull your head out of the sand and start reading the legislative bills and laws that have passed as of late and debate from a position of knowledge. These state level abortion laws are even trying to outlaw abortions when when the pregnancies occurred through incest , rape , or the health of the  mother is in Jeopardy.VA was just the latest example , where the backlash was so great they had to back off trying to pass that part of their vaginal probe proposed legislation.

THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES  (that's the official name)

has been changed. it's now,

THE CONSTITUTION OF THOSE AREAS WHERE ENOUGH CONSERVATIVE VOTERS HAVE KEPT THE POLITICIANS IN CHECK AND DOES NOT APPLY TO ANYONE IN ANY OTHER AREAS.

the founders said that SOME men are created equal.  that SOME are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights.  and that SOME people have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I'm glad I moved from Illinois to Georgia.

back on topic, some crimes are so terrible that the perp should be killed, such as crimes against children and seniors.

Is abortion not murder. Obviously you don't view it as murder. How is one human life more important than another? We have laws to stop people from killing other people, do we not. How is stopping abortion from happening, going against someones religion? If that is the way you see it then maybe someone wanting to kill their neighbor should be able to because it may suit their religion. Maybe you see an unborn child as something other than a human life. If you do, I understand your point, but if you do see an unborn child as a human. Then your argument doesn't hold a drop of water.  We do have a God given right to life, whether we are 100 years old or still in our mothers womb. There are laws to stop murder, and these laws should cover the unborn also. Unless you follow the liberals world view that unborn babies are just blobs of tissue.  Which is it?

Well, friend, you need to read my posts a bit closer.  I anticipated the "health of the mother" argument.  The problem with this language is that it has been interpreted by some judges to include "mental health, lifestyle, etc." (sound familiar).  In other words, it is defined so loosely that it can mean anything.  That was why I said virtually none of the legislation would prohibit abortion if the mother's LIFE was in danger.  And, by the way, as to argument about Jewish faith, since when has this country ever said that freedom of religion was without limit.  For example, the Mayans religion required human sacrifice.  So, if we have some Mayans here and they want to cut out someone's heart, does the Constitution require no interference by government?

....also putting a convicted murderer to death is not murder. Someone who takes another human life forfeits their rights, including right to life.

DDZ, Casull, both good posts.  my family has been involved in the pro-life movement for 22 years now and we have never heard anyone say that the mothers life doesn't come first.

self defense is a basic right.     I liked the comment about LIFE not LIFESTYLE ;D

I have to disagree, Mcwoodduck.  For those deserving of such, I would say that would be a very good use of rope and timber.  And, for the greenies, I note that it can be reused.
