You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him Think

Good luck.

Scootrd,

That's probably the only thing you have said that I agree with.        The union thugs cannot and do not offer solutions, so they just create another problem.

I hope you understand when I do not wish your candidate, and that of the union thugs, any measure of luck.    The unions were a big cause of the problem, and by their behavior, do not deserve to be part of the solution.

Chainsaw...good question and it should be asked... Apparently, some people don't put RTBA above all other issues like decent paying job security. I also think there's a reflex habit here in the echo chamber, off calling anybody contentious or deviating from the so-called conservative party line as being a 'libber'.  Fact is I'll wager $100 that anybody here demonized as one of those libbers is 100% behind the 2nd amendment.  In Wisconsin you are experiencing the 'Divide and Conquer" principle......except is more accurately called "Divide and Rule" principle...
.
So your question illustrates why both factions of The Party need to be eliminated...you can't work with them anymore.

I can see  a unionized worker voting their pocketbook and don't have a problem with that as I'm also voting my pocketbook. But a vote for Barrett is like voting for your own enslavement as far as your RKBA goes. To me these two premises cannot be intermingled. If Barrett gets to be the Guv this will set hard fought for gun rights back to the days of the flintlock. Yes he is that bad!  I can understand those not liking Walker, but Barrett makes no sense for Wisconsin gun owners. Thats the view from here. And to me nothing else matters if you don't have your freedom. As they say may your chains set lightly upon you.

Let me see if I got this right, Barrett voted against concealed carry while Walker pushed it through. Barrett believes that only the police and military need weapons. I think i'll keep my rights and vote for Walker  ;)  Anyone who votes for Barrett votes against the sportsman.

This is just for the Barrett koolaid drinkers, why is he against normal everday citizen owning guns for hunting, target /trap shooting or home defence? It's because he's anti gun. Wake up and quit sucking on the Barrett pipe. He's ruined Milwaukee and now you want him to ruin the rest of the state :o :o :o  Clueless koolaid drinkers, shame on you for not standing up for what is right. Send me a PM and i'll give your guns a good home before Barrett does.

Yea, why exactly?

  Scoot says;
"The up-and-down pattern of the state's monthly jobs report continued in March 2012. This time, the numbers took a dip in March, showing Wisconsin lost an estimated 4,300 private sector jobs. Additionally, the state Department of Workforce Development revised up by 2,100 the number of jobs added in February. The New Report says that there were 6,100 jobs added in that month. The revised new report puts state private-sector employment at 2,329,500, compared with 2,323,600 when Walker took office -- an increase of only 5,900 jobs since he took office."

Well, let's see where the facts lead us..  Besides being a typical liberal gun-grabber, let's see some of Barrets other "accomplishments"..
  Walker has been Gov of Wisconsin for some time now..just as Barret has been boss over in Milwaukee...  let's take a 'look-see' at how each has performed;

I absolutely understand.
However , You all seem to think because I am against Walkers extremist policies , I am naturally for The Dems solution.
Walker need to be recalled , in my mind this is no doubt. Am I happy with the alternative no. But I AM MORE DISPLEASED WITH Scott Walker (Koch-R).

Walker is a scumbag and a liar.   - IMO , and personally I am ashamed he calls himself a republican.

Well yes, that the Dem Party are tasked with an anti-gun agenda is a given. Personally, in my opinion I don't think any professional politician or party would want any armed citizenry, ever,  if they had their druthers and if they're into self-preservation. My bet is Walker in times of martial law, civil disorder, emergency, or whatever,,,would not hestiate to confiscate or ban weapons, and I think that's the way he operates, basically behind the scenes and radically.
.
So while people (media) should be busy asking Barret all the right questions on his anti-gun agenda; they should also be busy asking Walker  et al what their plan is for post-austerity Wisconsin after his corporate and elite welfare program brings back prosperity and solvency to Wisconsin thru trickle down.

What Walker would do in times of martial law, civil disorder, emergency, or whatever as far as guns go is only speculation on your part. Walker himself participates in the shooting sports, is a gun owner and hunts. Thats a fact.  I only deal with what is happening now or what has happened in the past and Barrett has a record of being a serial gun grabber and Walker does not. I'm not even thinking in the long term, I just want to get thru this year, just like many other Cheeseheads do. This is what is happening on the ground now in Wisconsin. No speculation just the facts like Joe Friday would say.

If you look at what has happened in the past, my property taxes could have risen another $500 in 2011 under a Doyle like governor, like I indicated earlier they dropped $42. In democrat speak that is a savings of almost $550. Now that is speculation. That and 39 cents will get you super sized. ;D

"True reform" can only be done by people with stones, like Walker.  He knew what needed to be done, knew it would be a battle and wouldn't be popular with the public union employees who were used to having everything handed to them.  The ones who became public employees because they expected a lavish pension, free healthcare, early retirement and above inflation raises every year no matter the status of the economy.  Why do you think there was such a union revolt coming from all across the country.  Walker took away there magic wand and without it the unions are no more powerful than the rest of us and that made them mad.  And since they lost there power, they have lost every fight they started. Here's to one more on June 5th!!!

I agree quit making taxpayers pay for corporate welfare receiving nothing in return.

According to Fiscal Bureau Director Bob Lang.
These breaks added $117.2 million to the projected $3.6 billion budget gap for the next two-year budget cycle which began July 1, 2011.  So, the corporate welfare tax cuts made the deficit larger. Additionally, Lang says bill — AB4 and SB4 — Will add $25 million to the Economic Development Tax Credit program, bringing the total cost to about $142 million.

And in return for the corporate welfare ?  where are the Jobs?  Where are the new businesses? (less now than when he took office) oh wait that's right , we can go work overseas where they invested the monies in another countries infrastructure. Yep Well on the right track for sure !! unreal. Walker is an idiot

Ok, after the Walkers and Kochs in domino state Wisconsin are done 'reforming',  How is it we are always hearing about "Walker & Koch" or "Bush & Koch" etc.. Why not "Obama & Soros" or "Democrats & the H'wood celebrities" or "Gore & the greenie-weeniess" ? after post austerity programming, and labor orgs are rendered impotent and useless (or nonexistant) I would like to know what his plan is for oversighting corporate fraud and malfeasance, and/or collusion with corrupt governmnet factions; because that was one of the main functions of organized labor.... perhaps the most important function. Having organized labor"oversee" corporations..is like hiring Col Sanders to babysit your chickens !
.
Secondly, after privatizing many current governmnet agencies and loosing all these gov employees, I would like to know who is chosen and what methods will be used to 'oversight' these policies and if this has actually saved taxpayers money and improved quality.  Guess you STILL don't get it..that's the whole idea...get rid of high cost do-little govt parasites and replace them with hard workers who have to HOLD their jobs..Coming to mind is the Lady Governor of Arizona who sold off the State Capital building and a few other governmnet buildings for $88 million and then leased them back, AND then decided to buy them back for the upcoming Arizona centennial for $104 million;;; or the the selling of the Indiana thruway and Indianians immediately getting a doubling in tolls;;;;  Probably for good, economic reasons. or the privatizing of some NY State ski areas and hiring back the employees at half rate piece work and no benefits Smart business move..get rid of dead weight !with corresponding loss of of facility quality,  Your opinion, not mine..the BEST ski slopes are privately run. or the selling off of many public hospital parking lots to private concerns who instantly tacked on parking fees (even for employees)  Where, nowhere around here.. almost any effort by govt to run private business, is a FLOP..(e.g. Solyndra, Fiskars, electric battery cos, the Ethanol fiasco  and many others. . Somebody has to ask the Walkers of the country these questions, just like somebody needs to ask the Barrets about their gun controll issues.  Give Walker a couple years without stupid "recall" distractions, then if it doesn't work, hound him.  On the other hand Barret has headed anti-gun efforts for decades, so such questions are currently appropriate..

I guess we will have to agree to disagree.  I see something intrinsically wrong with govt owning and operating any normally private business. For instance, IMO govt should not be in the ski slope business.  Private entrepreneurs can operate such things much more efficently.  So they sell off a couple hundred acres of ski slope, the govt is seizing more land from private owners every day. The govt is restricting land owners more every day and putting more land off limits every day..so a couple hundred acres going back to "wise use" is no tragedy.
This was discussed right here on GBO  http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php?topic=257369.0

As far as Walker and Wisconsin's economy, most reports are positive, especially considering the sorry stste of our national economy.
The liberals seem extremely impatient with Walker after less than 2 years..but extremely patient with Obama after nearly 4 years of economic doldrums.. :D

I'm noticing democrats are distancing themselves from Wisconsin now that they realize that organized labor does not have a slam dunk by any stretch of the word.  What happens there could also be a clue to what will happen to Obama...but we'll wait and see.  A large percentage of the American people are pretty dumb, so who knows...

So just tell me or ask Walker et al once he gets the Wisconsin economy and fiduciary matters under control thru corporate breaks and stimulus...what's his post austerity plans for Wisconsin and her citizens....or does he have a plan?

His next plan is to privatize Game management -

As reported in Lodi Valley News, Walker has hired Texan Dr. James Kroll to serve as Wisconsin’s “deer czar,” a position that gives Kroll considerable power over Wisconsin’s deer management policy. Kroll is an outspoken proponent of game farms, and an opponent of public lands and public game management, which he is on record as describing as “the last bastion of communism.”

The public lands Kroll despises include the state parks, state and national forests, and other publicly held property that hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites—particularly in the northern part of the state—rely on for deer hunting. Hunters on public land may be surprised to discover that Walker regards their annual trek into a state forest as a radical left wing activity akin to marching in a May Day parade in Red Square. But so it is.

If Kroll gets his way, public land hunters will get the shaft. The deer herd no longer would be managed as a public resource, but as the private property of wealthy landowners. Wisconsin will become like Europe, where hunting is the privilege of the wealthy.

What this means for hunters is that the management of the state’s deer herd could be sold or contracted to management corporations like Johnson Timber, who already owns Summit Lake Game Farm on the southern edge of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, and vast tracts of timber land.

Joe Hunter would have to buy his hunting tag (and perhaps make a bid on it) from a private game management firm for his deer, grouse, turkey, wolf, berry picking permits, etc.To people who do not own land, or who cannot pay for access to other people’s land, Walker and Kroll’s message is simple: tough luck.

scootrd,

On the other side of the coin, you have Barrett's message to all Wisconsin gun owners, and gun owners around the nation: tough luck, and you cannot carry concealed here because I am repealing the concealed carry, especially the reciprocity laws.

Thank [the Christian] GOD I live in Florida, the Gunshine State!

Kroll has a great reputation when it comes to Deer Management/Trophy Management. He has given tons of advise to Deer Leases in TX and surrounding States & I know of clubs close to my old hunting area in South AR where he has done alot of Seminars. We have Millions of acres of Nat. Forrest & Wildlife Management Areas in AR & he has been a zero factor in those. This is facinating stuff, but a dang good diversion at least!  ;D

For God's sakes, this is cream of the crop fiction and if you believe this I got a good deal on a bridge for you.  Kroll is one of the most respected whitetail deer experts in the entire world.  He is concerned about the health of the herd, not privatizing anything.  The fact that this was even created proves that the liberals and faithful followers will make up anything, because they have nothing to really tag Walker with.  He is going a great job and is going to win big on Tuesday.

The article states Kroll is more than just an academic wildlife biologist.
He is a businessman who operates his own website and cable TV show
and endorses products.
