Police: Man charged for torturing dog to death  Police: Man charged for torturing dog to death   by WHAS11 WHAS11.com Posted on May 1, 2012 at 8:43 PM       (WHAS11) - A Fairdale man is facing charges of animal torture after police say he tortured a dog to death.
Police say 24-year-old Kenneth Mahoney took his beagle out of its kennel Sunday night and drove 100 yards down his driveway with the dog tied to his bumper.
Police say a witness saw what happened and tried to save the dog, but was unable to.
Mahoney later confessed to the incident. He is charged with torture, criminal abuse, and tampering with evidence.

Just had two similar incidents locally, one got four years I don’t know what the other one got but it was jail time.

I hope this one get a little time in private to think about what he has done.

I think the animal protection laws in some states are for the most part ridiculous.  However, some folks just don't need to own pets or livestock.  There is nothing right abaout blatanty torturing an animal to death.
