Knight rifles ?
« on: May 03, 2012, 03:20:33 PM »
About what is the price on a Knight kp-1 rifle  ? What calibers do they come in and where can I buy one ? I've never seen or held one but I saw Craig Bodding in a magazine with one and it looks like something I would be interested in. Help appreciated.

I don't think they make them any more but I hear they might bring them back out, but you can still buy a used one. I remember looking at them once and they seemed real rugged.

At the NRA convention I was told that the KP1 will be out soon, but only as a fixed barrel muzzleloader (KPX, I think).  No one could say for sure when the KP1 would be coming back as it was with interchangeable centerfire, shotgun, and muzzleloader barrels?

When I looked at them the receiver was wide and robust same with the chamber area of the barrel I was told it was because they were going to chamber them in WSM calibers that would have been cool if they did. What kept me from buying one was the hammer safety that you had to flip forward, I thought that was so unnatural in a hammer gun and I knew I would probably screw up with a quick shot, if they made it like a BLR so you had to pull it back it would be OK.
