  When I took tank training back in 1956...and the Soviets were our obvious potential enemies, we were taught to machine gun any dog seen on the battlefield.  Perhaps that sounds strange, but there was a good reason for it!
  The Soviets would raise a contingent of dogs in, under and around their tanks.  They were fed there, slept there and lived there.  Tanks were their home, their comfort zone.
  Soviet  infantry could lead these dogs into battle and when our tanks showed up, they would strap a harness on the dog which was much like the one the SEALs dog was wearing..this harness would be carrying a powerful explosive charge.  Where the intruder camera is located, the anti-tank dog would have a simple "trip stick" which would trip the explosion.
  Naturally, when the battle raged these dogs would seek the only "safe haven" they were familiar with.  The tanks i served in had just about the right ground clearance to give the dog comfort  but was low enough to trip the charge.  See below pics:

Even long dead men like Igor Sikorsky, Eugene Stoner and John Browning deserve more credit for killing Bin Laden than Obama does, assuming the SEALS flew in to get Bin Laden on helicopters an were armed with M16's and 1911's

Why can't people give Obama credit for doing something right which he obviously did with bin Laden?  The Seals could have killed him at 8 feet with a singel-shot .22 or a flintlock pistol. 

I am all in favor of using dogs in war and police actions.  I am favor of dogs, horses, mules and donkeys in a big way.

 We can give Obama credit for saying "sic 'em"...something any president would do.  Bush #43 did it with the other Hussein (Sadam, not Barack), Clintion did it with Milosevek in Bosnia-Herzagovina, Bush #41 did it with Noreiga in Panama, Reagan did it with dictator Paul Scoon in Grenada..Even Carter  tried it in an effort to recover the hostages the Iranian fanatics should not have been allowed to take in the first place.
  Routine actions of every president..
 
     You may not have respect for our elite troops, even though they are the very best.  ...And even though you try to disparage their raw courage by saying the job on the ground, in the compound was "light work"...you have no idea..
  I doubt you or obama would be fit to polish shoes for the SEALs, Rangers, or the  Special Forces of the Marines,  Army or Air force...or the Coast guard, for that matter.
   You're trying to equivocate between sanlot and major leagues..

ppine Obama had 10 years of intell to go on. Obama just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be able to claim he "got" bin laden. Obama didnt do anything special.
