You can't beat this with a stick, you get some free history lessons, and tremendous bargains to boot.



RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

Thanks, yes very enlightening.  The wheels on no. 2 down (is a salute gun no matter what he says)  sure look like cast iron but Guru sez bronze.  I also learned that insurance guns were only used 1861-65!  And it was because of a US law that they were used aboard ship!  Wunnerful stuff.

I put them in an order that signifies my first through third choice for wanting to own them, but because of the colorful history that's given, along with the statement that the model's carriage is an exact replica of a CW era No.1 field carriage, I think my favorite talk describes the third gun.
