Max Brass
« on: May 11, 2012, 04:07:07 PM »
Any one cultivated any sources?  I've got a LGS that some time back bought some brass and had his man of all work load 'm up to sell.  Hasn't sold any that I know of, wants $25.00 a box of 20.  Halfway thinking about getting some of it and dumping the loads--I've got a peculiar habit of not shooting anyone else's loads.  Darn that would be some expensive brass!  By the way I saw on another forum that some fella had corresponded with Remington about brass and it appears that production is not in the foreseeable future.  Goat

maybe if they have not sold any you could offer a little less? 25 for 20 is less than new loaded rounds right now, and as there is no brass available anywhere, might not be such an awful deal. pull the bullets, dump the powder and reload. all you are out is the powder. i have not been able to find any brass for sale. I did buy 20 rounds of grizzly from midway. it was 29 plus shipping. good luck with the search and if you find any please PLEASE let us know.

I bought some new Max brass last week.  GB won't allow me to post the link.  They are not a normal reloading supplier.  Google 357 Maximum Brass and you'll find it.  Good luck.

Flat rate USPS shipping online is easy, I send about a hundred of em out every year, what's a few shipments for friends, if you buy em and ship all to me, I'll gladly ship em to those that want em for cost, prolly depends on how much they want for em to start off. ;) A medium or large flat rate box would handle 500 easy, let me know whatcha think.

You convinced me Tim,  ;)

I am not going to be able to do much this weekend, but will have some available for those in DESPERATE need.  Please, I am not wanting to fill your cellar for some doomsday event.  Remember, there are probably people who have just made a 357max and have no brass what so ever.  Will be sending bags of 50,  how much are those small flat rate packages?

Bought 100 from the unmentionable source, $40 plus $6.95 shipping.  Happened to go back to the LGS, he is in hospital and not expected to make it, wife is selling everything 1/2 off.  All guns went the first day of sale.  I got the 5 boxes of loaded rounds for $8 per box.  Glad I pulled the loads, the charge varied too much.  I don't like to shoot anyone else's handloads anyway.  By the way, I have read from a reputable source (I think) that Rem has a run of brass scheduled for next month.  Squeaky wheel gets greased?  Goat
