Excellent Service from Flash60 LLC
« on: May 12, 2012, 02:29:23 PM »
I just received a beautiful Traditions 69 caliber Old Ironsides cannon that was purchased through Flash60 LLC.  I am pleased to report that I received excellent service and expect to do business with Flash60 LLC again.

All inquiries to the company were replied-to promptly and professionally, and all commitments made to me were met, as promised. While there was a delay in receiving the canon, it is an item that is in high demand and short supply.  I was able to independently verify the explanation that I received from David at Flash60.

There have been reports of past problems with the company, in this forum.  The good news is, assuming that my experience is typical of Flash60's current business practices, those problems have been corrected.  GB has also been very good to me, so I thought you'd want to know.

This company is the former  Cannon Mania.

He bilked a number of persons on this forum out of money when he was based in CT.  He is now in GA.  Since moving to GA he was subject to consumer fraud action by the Georgia Governor of Consumer Protection in 2010.

Here is a link to the public record on the subject: http://consumer.georgia.gov/about-us/accomplishments/2011-accomplishments-enforcement. Here is the abstract from this public record.

Quote
David Ross, doing business as Cannon-Mania,sold cannons through the Internet. OCP opened an investigation into the practices of Ross in May 2010 after receiving complaints of non-delivery of product and his failure to provide refunds. The investigation confirmed these allegations and also revealed that Cannon-Mania was no longer in business. Furthermore, it was discovered that Ross had started another company named Flash60, LLC, also to sell cannons on the Internet. Ross entered into an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance requiring him individually and Flash60, LLC to refrain from violating Georgia law. He was also required to place explicit disclosures on his website concerning the availability of products and refunds. Ross paid $831 in consumer restitution and a civil penalty of $6,000.

When Cannon mania bilked the folks here there were other here who also posted that they had received excellent service.

I suggest you use extreme caution dealing with Flash60.  Keep copies all trans action.  Make all transactions trackable.

This also why Cannon Mania/Flash60 does not appear on my Cannon link list.

I hear what you're saying, and believe you are sincere about others' past problems.

I, too, am sincere, and my post was not solicited by anyone.  My good name is not for sale.  In fairness, I believe good service should be recognized, and I hope this represents a genuinely solid way of doing business.  Only time will tell.

That said, one should always make major purchases on a credit card, for the protection they offer.  Also, always document the entire transaction.  Trust, but document.

This cannon is beautiful!  Of that, I am certain.
