Are there reproduction Beaumont rifles out there? I came across one today and it was in amazing condition. If there are repos what is their value?

Thanks, Mike

No repros. Had one that looked like new but sold it in the 80s for next to nothing. I wish I had it now. Most of them I have seen were in fine shape. I figure that the Netherlands with their small area and limited colonial holdings didn't use them too hard, hence the fine condition of many of them. That is just my speculation however.

Beaumonts were fairly common in the early 80's, and were for the most part in really fine condition. The usual price I paid was $40.00 U.S. Maybe a bit more depending on the deal.  The price was low because the cartridge was not available, and had to made from something else. I am amazed by the prices I see on them today.

Never heard of a repro, but for the price of repros today you could buy the real deal if you keep your nose in the wind.
