Some of you will remember me talking about Mrs Dianne Petty, the old black lady that moaned and cried out so much, the one I prayed over 2 mo ago. When we got there Fri I looked into her room and saw her looking around and moving her hands and she started laughing, probably many years ago back in time. Her rm is restricted and I'm not family so I didn't go in but the past 4 days I'd always look in on her and she was quiet, til yesterday. Yesterday she hollered off and on most of the day. Before we left, after Mom died, I told a nurse I wanted to go in to see her and she let me, even though it was restricted. Diane was really moaning when We went in. The nurse said that she'd wait outside and to take my time. I stroked her forehead brushing her hair back and took her hand all the while talking to her. She quieted dwn as she responded to my voice and touch. I called her by name and talked a bit then prayed for her, then kissed her on the forehead as I left. She was still quiet when we left. Through all the trouble and sorrow I feel blessed by having met Diane Petty. She will always have a place in my heart. POWDERMAN.
