If you had a choice of the 12" Encore in 480 Ruger or 15" 308 Win for deer, bear and Elk out to 150 yrds, which would it be and why?

I would have to add a vote for the .308, in my opinion it will out perform the 480. I have an Encore with a 15 inch 30-06 barrel and would not chose any pistol round over it. Just knowing if I had to, I could take a 200 yard shot with a 308 or 30-06.

150 yrds?  .308 Definitely!  Flatter than the 480, faster than the 480, and at the longer ranges, I would assume more accurate than the 480 (especially in the longer barrel).  At closer ranges (<100 yards) the 480 should pack a nasty punch, but I suppose that it wouldn't be great to be hit with either at that range!
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)
