Cannon Cartridge Explosion
« on: May 22, 2012, 12:48:46 PM »
400 grains of cannon grade powder in an Al cartridge.  The top of the cartridge opened at 4 milisecond after ignition.  Total burn required 93 milliseconds.

OK thanks.  If there was some comparison or some principle demonstrated I missed it.  Don't get me wrong, I love to see powder burning, just not sure if there was a theme here I missed.

Next time please show the smoke plume rising.

John,

Parrot-Cannon is our resident scientist.  He pops in here every once in a while with this sort of stuff.  It may seem strange...but be patient when he is finished he comes up some amazing stuff.   I think he is looking at powder burn rates and pressures....can't wait until we see what he has come up with now?
