Craziest driving you've seen recently

All the really top flight, dedicated and highly skilled crazy drivers seem to have formed a technological enfatuation with texting while driving.
 
The craziest driving I've seen lately was a woman who was driving while her gaze was focused on her phone. She was typing a message, and never looked up once for over a quarter mile, and probably closer to a half mile. I was shadowing behind her fascinated by how far she was driving without watching the road. She drove right past a cop, and his blip on the siren is what woke her from her trance. He got a good look at her too. By the way, there was a kid in a baby seat in the back seat of her car. I hope he wrote her a ticket instead of a warning.

These three things all happened in one block on Monday:
A car makes a right turn on red right in front of me so that I have to brake quite hard.
A beautiful restored 66 GTO very quickly backs out of a parking place, had to panic brake to miss her. Would have hated to hit that beautiful car.
I am now waiting at the light in the right lane at the end of the block. When light turns green the car next to me in left lane all of a sudden makes a right turn from the left lane and crosses right in front of me.

[Cuts Crooked]

Less than 30 minutes ago a woman talking, on a cell phone, in a SUV, is stopped at a stop sign, looks directly at me, nods, and then pulls out right in front of me! Almost laid my old Honda down getting stopped!

That is almost the exact situation that caused my one and only street accident in about 30 years of riding. I didn't quite get stopped and put a nice dent in her passenger door with my Guzzi. I still clearly remember the look on her face after I hit with the cell phone still against her ear.

A few years ago a friend of mine was riding home from work on his motorcycle. Woman on her cell phone blew a red light. He struck her passenger side near pillar. Thank God cycle took most of the brunt of the impact , But with even that , he went over the bars, rolled across roof of car and landed on pavement on drivers side. Broke both collar bones , fractured right wrist and a broke rib. Took months of rehab. Lucky to be alive.

No one in my family drives and texts or phones (not even blue tooth devices) on road . Pull over , or wait and check messages later.


Weirdest driving I ever saw , was when we were in Montreal , Canada. Guy drove at least 1/2 mile backwards down a one way street going the wrong way. Everyone just parted and let him through.

That and all the Korean cabs I ever took in the service stationed in Korea. They wouldn't even move for big greyhound type Busses and drove amazingly erratic and fast. . All those Korean cab drivers are just plain nuts. maybe its a pre-requisite for getting the Job.
