Season's Winding Down
« on: February 01, 2004, 09:17:16 AM »
It almost over for this year. I sell my furs in 2 weeks. I will probably pull my traps in a week or so. I am still trying to find a place for me and my buddy to do some spring beaver trapping and I am going to try to catch my first mink in a week or so after the rest of my traps are pulled.

What do you guys do in the summer to keep you busy.
I have some stuff lined up to get ready for next year.

Electricity in fur shed
Wood stove in fur shed
Get bait ready for coons and cianines
Have all traps and equipment ready to go
Get LOTS of dry dirt
Build up my equipment by working
Get permission for enough farms to do me over for next year

Good Luck
Zach Ellis

Well 16 /17, I still have 6 weeks left of fur season and I don't know yet what all I will break, loose or have stolen so I can't really say what all I will need to do. :?

I was glad to see that getting a girlie girl a Valentine wasn't at the top of your list.   I'm proud of you  :D

I haven't thought about the end of the season yet.  I thought we just got started. LOL  If you can't find anything to do, you can always help WQ in NM.
It must be nice to have a shed to skin in.  I had to skin outside in blowing snow today.

Now Little Joe, you chose to skin out side.  You could have skinned in the kitchen if you'd wanted...just might have been needin a divorce attorney after :-D .  But life is really just a game of choice...kinda like a box a chocolates, only sometimes you know what you're getting before you bite  .
