Well, I didn't access the link, but in regard to duct tape (duck tape?), people should be aware that there is duct tape and there is duct tape.  That is to say that not all duct tape is created equal.  There is some that isn't worthy of the name, but some I have found can be used for almost anything and it never seems to give up.

Blackberry Brandy for the runs.


I am old enough to remember Wakefield's Blackberry Balsam. We always had a bottle on hand when I was a kid, and as I recall, it did a pretty good job of plugging you up.


EDIT> I have been rummaging around in my memory, and it wasn't Wakefields. It was Father Somebody's Blackberry Balm, and for the life of me I can't remember the name.


We lived in Indiana, so it may have been a mid-western thing.

When I was very young I was very sick and couldn't stop coughing. A neighbor lady gave Mom some cough syrup she had made using sugar and onions that she cooked til they were liquid. Didn't taste bad and darn sure stopped my cough. POWDERMAN.

Vitamin D gel caps, put the liquid on a wart with a bandage twice a day. About 2 weeks it will fall off.

I never tried it, but I was told if you put Vicks vapo-rub on the heel of your foot, it will stop you from coughing in about 5 min. I was also told you could taste it as well.

Vicks vapo rub also makes a good muscle rub, I've used it for years, we buy the generic. POWDERMAN.
