Savage 1899 buttstock
« on: June 04, 2012, 01:43:00 AM »
I just bought a Savage 1899, made in 1906, at an auction. Unfortunately Bubba cut the buttstock off and sanded it to produce a stock with about 10 inches of pull and way too small for the metal. Does anybody here know of anyone making reproduction buttstocks and butt plates for these rifles?

Boyds did make some of the old stocks but I've only seen their repo marlin '97 or M36???? If you've an example the guys at Lincoln Missouri can make any style(excuse the old brain hiccup).. Also check the sites supporters for possibilities.. Also Brownells had some in an old catalog but I haven't checked lately..
