260 bbl. length

I have a 24" factory SS 260 Rem. bbl. that I'm going to shorten for my son's youth model 7. Anyone have any input as to what length I should make it? I use 20.5" on my hunting rifles but don't have any real hangup on more but the 24" is too long on that light rifle-Muddy

I think 20" of barrel will work.  It will have more than enough performance at 200yd.  Load up a vast quantity of ammo and practice.  Good luck with it.
