Dem., were out spent AND under supported. The election results nearly mirror those of the original election. Those who voted Walker in, the first go around, are perfectly happy with his actions. Is this not why we hold elections? To get the people in charge who share the majority opinion?

Why, Gov. Walker stopped the rotation of the Earth itself. Opened the gates of hell, cast voodoo spells, I even heard he went on a drunken bender punching babies for an entire month. Still those good for nothing Republicans voted him in again. Guess more babies need punched.

It appears he broke no laws. He simply does not agree with 43% of the population on a fairly narrow opinion on public employee compensation. Those 43 % did what they could, as they are allowed to do. You cannot seriously believe for one second that their issues were somehow vague? I don't give a rats patooty how much cash was spent or not spent on advertising, you can not convince me the Democrats did not get the message out.

Lest those Republicans get too proud of themselves, they should look to Major League Baseball. You don't call the game when your second baseman goes down swinging in the third inning. The Democrats know there are plenty more at bats coming, and they have a home field advantage.

Barret was out spent by Walker almost 8 to 1. Walker gained about $35 million from out off state sources which could best be described as corpo-terrorists, compared to about $4 million for the Barret team.....This recall election was bought best describes what happened! Then it was told that the gullible for the People's side received hundreds of thousands of 'letters' telling them they didn't need to come out and vote since they signed the petitions. Nice!!
.
Moreover the People of Wisconsin squandered a golden opportunity to oversight and control both factions of the Demo-Publicans, and to inject more democracy into the system. This whole 'conquer and rule' recall should have been linked to 'proposition voting' directly on issues--not handing over control to devisive politicians..
.
Democracy took a huge back slide with this Wisconsin debacle as we wittnessed corpo or system 'terrorist' money buying elections firsthand per Citizens United BS.
.
. Its also a sad day when people coming together with a common interest are perjoratively described as 'socialists'....I guess this makes the victors 'neo-Bolsheviks'... ::)
.
..TM7

How convenient it is not to mention the 21 million that unions spent on trying to defeat Walker. Of coarse when you listen to the liberal media, the 21 million is never mentioned by them either. 8 to 1 spending in favor of Walker just sounds better, and gives the pro public union people something to blame on Barrets loss. Funny how its no big deal when a democrat out spends their opponent. In that case, when the democrat wins its always about the people just electing who they want. Money spent by the democrat is never mentioned.
Walker winning had nothing to do with the money spent anyway. It was about the issues, and people in Wisconsin not wanting their state to turn into California.

I couldn't agree more with both of you on this. This mythical 8-1 spending crap has been the Dem talking points since their butt kicking by the VOTERS last Tuesday, I absolutely love this!! ;)

..There is no way Walker could have lost with that kinda of dollar advantage.
..TM

Not entirely true. He could have easily lost IF THE MAJORITY OF THE VOTERS DIDN'T AGREE WITH HIM!

Which makes wonder how you feel about money and politics in general, since the richest people in congress are Democrats.

Now don't start asking something like that!  ;D

I also have noticed that these $40,000 a plate fund raising events are far more common with Libs, but of course the Dem Party is the Party of the "working man", what a joke! ;D

It is a joke. We can't talk about the dems fund raisers though, because the liberal media doesn't talk about them. So they must not be true. If the liberal media says it, it must be true, right?
There are those that follow the liberal drum beat, and deny that unions across the country had a hand, and their money in this to defeat Walker, and they expect us to believe it. Its all about trying to find a reason why the socialist lost. The liberals tend to forget that it wasn't Walker that asked for the recall. It cracks me up listening to them moan about how its the end of democracy, all because the public unions will no longer be able to rape the tax payers at will. Yes, what a joke!

I think you perhaps haven't worked in sales....If you have you would know money talks and BS walks....$$$s buy alot of staturation in the great big state wide echo chamber. As you say.....if Dems have the most $$s in Congress proves the point. That democracy took a backslide in Wisconsin is evident....why do you think they came up with Citizens United idea in the first place...to even the playing field???

Yes I HAVE worked in sales. And a crap product will not grab the customers no matter how much money you throw at it.....they learn quick!

You however, do seem to have a very low opinion of the intelligence of the customer. It would appear that the leftists threw just as much, if not more, time and money at getting Walker out......they failed, because the customer is not that stoopid. :o ;D

Yea, I have been in Sales about 30 years in a Business that requires long term customers/repeat sales through good products & service or you will not be around long.

To Cuts point, someone may sell the sizzle instead of the steak for a little while, but once people find out the steak is bad, the sales drop off. The Unions have been around in WI for a long time, but more and more folks are looking at the end result (steak) & see it is not good &
are ready for a better product.

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I have also worked in sales and found that QUALITY sells much better than BS..a point well proven in the Wisconsin runoff.
Just in the very last days before the election the Democrat chair, Debbie Wassermann-Schultz made no mention of differences in funding, in fact she boasted about how much superior the Dems "ground game" was.
She said the Wisconsin contest was a "dry run" for November.

Some "superior" .. some November coming.

Ask Debbie W-S what color the sky is and she'll start spewing the Democratic talking points. She must have forgot to memorize the spending ratio excuse, because it seems to be near the top of the list for everyone else.

The money for both sides was mute aside from bringing out their followers.  In every poll since day one walker has had a slight lead over every challenger that may have faced him. It grew when Barrett came in, because Barrett is a dud and we all have witnessed the mess that he made of Milwaukee.  The money was just use to get out the vote. The republicans had something like 35,000 volunteers working for the campaign, yes volunteers not paid union hacks from other states.  Grass roots and a great preview for November.

Not to torture a point, but money is hardly ever mute; it may be moot, because I think the voters of Wisconsin had plenty of information and had chosen sides far in advance of the election.

Is corporate money any more "evil" than union money?  They are both being spent to realize an outcome in an election. In a perfect world, I would like to see both sources of outside money eliminated.

IG, Cuts, NS....Point is you could have the best widget in the world, but if you don't have a marketing budget and plan to get the message out you could be out of business. Walker had this support and plan with his campaign and vastly outspent Barret utilizing corpo out-of-state dollars. Sad day for Democracy.... So in one sense, this election was bought more than others. The fact that Wisconsinites abdicated control of their government to out side buyers is significant. Also significant that they didn't see it coming and demand a 'proposition' plan for issue determinations, thus balancing control from the neo-Bolshevik centralists now in Madison who have consolidated control thanx to this recall election circus.
Perhaps in time there will be a counter-revolution....
.
..TM7
You don't think for a minute the Democrat message was lost do you? I live across the border and was inundated with info on local network news as well as TV ads. If you did not get it with the amount of campaigning that was done by Dem's you were not going to get it at all. I feel you must have very very low expectations of what Democratic voters are able to understand as far as media is concerned.

I am primarily Republican and I can tell you this. When I here a message from a Democrat I am able to tune that out pretty danged fast if I am uninterested, and quite surprisingly the more I here the faster they are tuned out. I am pretty sure though that Democrats are incapable of tuning out Republican messages. I have heard that crap so often that I now believe it. ::) ::) ::)

Democrats aren't quite as stupid as you suppose TM7. Perhaps they want this crap to change as well.

I'm getting from FOXy that Barret and People spent around 4 million and Koch-Walker and corpo-PACs spent about $35 million--basically corpo-terrorist funding....There is no way Walker could have lost with that kinda of dollar advantage. If you have bonafide figures please post here......TM7

The AP is claiming that 66 million was spent altogether on the recall......making Walkers 35 not such a huge advantage, huh? http://news.yahoo.com/walker-survives-recall-election-wisconsin-020811167.html;_ylt=AniQc0OslrvWb.Gpv_FV8L1tzwcF;_ylu=X3oDMTNnMDVpNjFpBG1pdAMEcGtnAzY4MWYzYzczLTZhMGEtMzgwNi04NzcxLTFkNTQyZTk3MTVkMgRwb3MDMQRzZWMDbG5fUG9saXRpY3NfZ2FsBHZlcgM0YjBjMGRjMS1hZjkzLTExZTEtYmYzZS02YjIxNGYyNjU3ZGU-;_ylv=3

It looks like voters in Wisconsin figured out that it wasnt fair that the majority of them woud have to work until the day they drop dead so that their neighbors in the public unions could take 30 year vacations.  too bad the nit wit voters here in Ohio didnt get the message. They fell for the moveon.org propaganda they saw on TV.

Lets see here; 66 - 35 = 31..........yeah......hopelessly outspent allright! by a difference of 4 million.....not even a drop in the bucket! ::)

Meanwhile the media gave all the air time to the recallers it could get away, while trying to crucify walker at every opportunity. But the people won anyway! ;D

However  by your reasoning the socialist, Romney is a shoe in, the republicans are raising money for him far faster than the other socialist, Obama is raising it :-\

Look, I'm just stating what I heard on FOXy the day Walker was reported winner in the recall, which was that he was able to out spend Democrats 7 or 8 to one. Something like 35 million to their 4 million

According to the Sacramento Bee, Barrett and gang spent about $19 million (hmmm, but you claim they only raised $4 million).  BTW, I'm ROFLMAO that tm now seems to be relying on Fox News for his facts.  Will this be a continuing trend?

Not exactly as you insinuate and distort in your troll...

Now, now, who is really distorting?  You make a claim, buttress it with facts you heard on Fox News and then say you are not relying on those same facts?  Sounds like a cop out to me.  Also, I notice that you conveniently ignored the other info I presented regarding the reported $19 million spent by Barrett and gang.  Kind of throws off that 8 to 1 ratio you're crowing about.  People are starting to notice these things about your posts.      ::)

Well the Wisconsin unions have had MSNBC pluggin for em ever since Walker got elected...what do you figure free advertisement for more than a year is worth these days...?  I'd say the unions had as much as anyone as far as money and free adds, along with putting lots of false facts out there for a long time through the favorite news media....they actually had a lot more resources than walker ever could have in that state.  So Maddow says on national TV after Walker won, that now this will keep democrats from getting elected...sheesh...they come right out and tell us the union funnels money into elections against the people's will and nobody blinks an eye.  Guess she likes the idea of pulling money out of people's paychecks for elections too...gee who knew.
The people ain't buyin it anymore...the money is gone and they know it, and the unions attaching themselves to the state budget is not what they really want either.
So I'm wondering...why is it when a state like Indiana or Wisconsin turns right to work, a whole heap of people that are in the unions hurry up and leave the unions?  Hey just wondering...maybe the unions need to attract people of their own free will instead of hold them hostage.
Unions should not have to force themselves on people to get their money.

I figure MSNBC coverage equals FOXy coverage. Unions are like minded people with a common interest...like gun owner talk sites....both can contribute as they please.  Now corporations (replacing individual citizens) and huge single contributors may be questionable.

Sorry, I do not see the difference between money from unions and corporations.  Both have an agenda and influence, the only difference is that money from unions don't get input from union members as to where to donate their cash...
