Will a 3.5" barrel work on a 3" frame?

I have a NEF case colored frame with a factory 28" Pardner 3" Mod barrel 12ga and an extra 3.5" Full 24" Pardner barrel that locks up on the same frame just fine.
Is it safe to use the 3.5" barrel on the 3" frame?
Are the frames the same for both?

Yes it will work and yes it will be safe. The frames are manufactured the same and are the same strength, they are foir all intents and purposes identical.....<><....:)

I have complete Pardners 12ga 3" & 3.5" and they look to have identical SB1s.

I thought they were, just wanted to make sure before I messed the frame or myself up.
