with remington green box, 150 grain soft points.. less then an 1" high at 50 yards
at 100 yards, i shot just under a 2" groups at about 1 1/2" high
i'd like to keep it there , to me thats seems about right for hunting, but the 100 yard group could be tighter.

do need to find better ammo for it.. maybe federals or winchesters at 168 grains ??

Remingtons seem to like heavy bullets...

its my understanding that the 168 grain bullet is what the .308 was designed around.
but so far what i've seen available at the stores are 150 and 180 grain rounds.. i'm not sure i understand that.
my rifle shoots the 150's fairly well, but i need to pick up something heavier and see how they group.
i did shoot some 147 grain 7.62x51 nato's by SAC and winchester.. the SAC's had a 4" group, and they were not uniform, some seemed to have more muzzle flash and recoil then others in the same box.
the 147 gr. Win's shot nearly identical to the 150 gr. remmy's in .308 , no extraction issues. they grouped a bit to the left though.
