Hey Veral. I have read the threads on the .45 ACP and the .460 Rowland. I am shooting a .45 Super Glock conversion. I am using the Storm Lake 6" barrel with a fairly tight match chamber. I am running a 24# recoil spring. I already had a 255gr Lee .452 mold so I figured I would give it a try in the super. I ended up seating the bullet fairly deep to make it work.
After reading the threads about your LFN it sounds like the ticket. I haven't seen a picture of the bullet but I think I have a good ideal what it looks like. I bought some Buffalo Bore .45 super with a 255gr hard cast bullet. Out of the 6" barrel they are clocking 1130fps. feeding is about 98%. Ever now and then it will hang one. My loads with the Lee bullet at just under 1000fps seem fine except for seating them deep enough to clear the lands in the chamber takes out too much powder capacity. I am thinking your design might solve my problem. I hunt deer and hogs with the gun. What is your suggestion? Thanks, reflex264
The 255 Lee I have been using.
OAL with this bullet loaded for my gun is 1.153"
