are tha SS huntsman barrels made as strong as tha blued barrels ?

current blued barrels are 4140 steel....are current SS barrels the same ??
reason i ask,  is some bp subs require a minimum tolerance when magnum charges are used
according to emails i have received from there manufacturers.
an inquiring mind would like to know.........

Obviously 4140 and SS are not the same...but how much of a differance I do not know .I would think that what ever they are machined @ as far as tolerances they would be looking for them to all come out the same or at least within some kind of a spec. . I have only one current SS ML bbl 50 cal all the rest of them are 70's Huntsmans 45's and 58's. I would be interested in what Brian may be able to garner from the smiths there . Kurt

4140CM is for blued barrels and the stainless should be 416R and the strength should be near the same.
