When waxing dogless traps do you wax the whole trap or just the lower half? I have heard both and I'm not sure if I should get wax on the dog and jaw contact.

wax it all
on a scale of 1-10 concerning trouble with wax on "trigger"-
consider dog on traps at 10, consider dogless traps at 1
I almost never have to do anything to a dogless vis vis removing wax before using
