I am in love...
Trigger is right at 3 lb pull. By far the smoothest and clean breaking trigger I have yet seen on a handi out of the box. I only had time to run 10 rounds through. First three shots were to sight the scope in. Last 7 shots were about a 1 inch group at 50 yards just below the bulls eye. 4 of the seven were touching and could easily be covered with a dime! I have not polished the bore nor bedded the stocks yet so I am sure this will improve. That with a little more tweaking on the scope and I should have an honest sub MOA rifle at 100 yrds.
I changed out the stock. It is wearing a shotgun stock with a chopped forearm that is ready for a black cherry end cap. I plan on cutting down the buttstock a bit and dressing it up with the same piece of black cherry for a grip cap and, drum roll please, a black cherry cheek rest for proper eye alignment with the scope. Then some tung oil for the finish. Not sure how that will turn out, but I am going to give it a try. I will get some pics posted of progress. So My five year plan just got a little busier.
Happy shooting!
