The problem I really have is that they make the .44 mag barrel in 12 inches.  They are not even entertaining the thought of an 16-18 inch with me paying for the difference.

There are several choices for custom barrels.  I am sure one (or all) of them will make what you want.  Spend your money with someone who wants to take it.

I'm sure that Match Grade Machine will make you anything you want as long as it's within reason.  The Custom Shot barrels from TC were not anything special in particular, so if they never re-open the shop, there are other folks that can make custom barrels that are just as good if not better.

Match Grade Machine makes great barrels and have a fast turnaroud, plus they are a sponsor here.  Bullberry makes a great barrel also, sometimes slow on the turnaround.  Plus there are others that will make you a barrel just like you want, and I've heard the Begarra barrels are pretty good barrels for the Ecore

I own some of their barrels.  I have found them to be good to work with and have been very satisfied with the products I have.

As said, TC's "semi" custom shop barrels were nothing special, made with the same quality of blanks with the same equipment by the same people as the standard issue barrels.   That's not necessarily negative, most of TC's barrels shoot well enough for the average shooter, some better than average.   But any custom TC barrel maker will make you whatever you want, including custom chambers, and from better quality blanks.   Might cost more, but they are worth it for down range results.

H&R?   Some folks do find grape stakes good enough I guess.   ;) ;D

One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
