Cucumber Beetle traps

I've seen a few cucumber beetles in the garden - not enough to cause any concern.  However, I just removed a badly wilted plant that looked like it had bacterial wilt - a disease carried by the beetles.  Even though there still aren't very many beetles out in the garden, i think I'm gonna take some precautionary action.  I plan on mixing up Tayuya powder and permethrin insecticide to make some traps for the little buggers.  Has anyone tried this before?

A black light above a tray of diesel fuel. Might find an addative to make the diesel glow more, also might use a clear plastic tray if you can find it. For night use of course. Get's tater beatles to. ear
