Sewing
« on: June 20, 2012, 06:01:43 AM »
Okay, I did it...   ::)

I bought a sewing machine.  Not a machine specifically designed to sew leather, but a good, stout, home machine.   ;D

I have my first sewing class Thursday...  wonder if I'll be the only man there?   ???

I have another class Saturday.  Since I have a club meeting right after the class ends I'll be on my bike.  I wonder if I'll be the only one there flying colors?   ;)

I promised to make a biker's wallet for a club brother and I've found a pattern that I like.  But I never made one before and I want to see if I can machine stitch most if not all of it.  We're talking very light weight leather, 2 - 3 oz., here!   :-\

2-3 oz will be fine for your project. If you don't want to make the liner for it, check out my buddy's at Springfield Leather. I think they have a nice one for $15.00 or so.  I made 2 holsters today ,one pancake and one inside the waist band. Also a sheath for a butcher knife, It is to dang HOT to do much out side. Good luck!! T
