I am really MAD at you boys!!!!#@!&%$***
« on: February 04, 2004, 12:17:34 AM »
You boys an your suggestions, my wife is included in this rant.
Got interested enough in this thing called reloading to investigate it, seek advice, counsel, help. Well ya gave it to me an I took tha bait, hook line an sinker.
What started out as a simple 10X12 shed has turned into a project bigger, as in $$$$, an time, than I had projected.
Tha plan was to  wire it, insulate it, wall it with plywood, put in a window an door. Now boys, there aint a square cut, plumb wall in this building. Now fore ya go to laughin, It was a bought shed. I didn't build it. It is barn shaped.
Tha plywood don't fit cause it aint a square building, an I have had to make jigs for tha end walls cause of tha barn shape. Got gaps that i got to fill. Took me all day to fit one piece yesterday, cause of that barn shape.
I'm three weeks away from completion, an i'm not real sure bout that.
All this so as i would have a place to smoke and git into this reloading stuff. Gonna put a computer out there, well ya know one thing leads to another or as long as i'm doin this I might as well do this, ya know how it goes. Got a couple of scew-ups I got to go back an re-do.
I been takin pitchures as i go along, that is so I can post em. I wanted you boys to have a reall good laugh.
It is gonna have a little ol a/c, which, after tha purchase, I discoverd was gonna take some engineerin to fit in tha window. Seems window a/c's are not designed to go in aluminum windows.
All in all it has been frustrating as all gitout, but I been learnin, like I wanted to learn some of this stuff, and kinda fun.
Tha fun part is gonna be trying to cover all tha imperfections. I would ask for advice on that but i'm afraid to.
Well, that rant was good fer tha soul. See ya soon.
Blessings

William

And that's just building the space.  Wait until you fill it up and want another!

I learned long ago that junk expands to overflow available space, so I try not to create more space!!!

William:  You didn't really think for a minute that a project of that kind would go without a glitch or two did ya???  Sounds like it has been causing you some real fits.  You should have contacted the "Master" Mikey and maybe a quarter of a block of C4 would have taken care of the problem and you could have started over!!!!  Just kidding and hope you get it where you want it to be.  The other guys are right in that you will soon outgrow the "barn" and be looking at adding on to it or putting up something larger like a pole barn.  That's what I wish I had for all my tools and gun stuff and others.  Still aspire to go to gunsmithing school when I retire in a few and would like to have a place to work out of.  Problem is that the Feds have a way of hassling a "smith" as soon as they hang a shingle out!!  Good luck with your project.  Sounds like you have a lot more patience than I do when it comes to that stuff!!

it sounds like you have it made.  My late wife once told me to wire the dog house for heat, lights and music and that was where she would send me when I wanted to reload.  But, to have a whole shed all to yourself - kin I come and live wif ya and reload in your air-conditioned reloading shed and use your confoozer, too?????  Kin I, huh, kin I????  I'll even sleep there so I can reload at night and not disturb anybody (LOL).....

I think The Original Ken is right - a suitable charge of well placed explosive will handle most personal problems and it sure sounds like that shed doesn't quite like ya enough to stand up straight.  Not that I would advocate for anyone, anywhere to have to start completely over, but a nice sized explosion can really warm the cockles of yer ole heart, lemme tellya.  Gee, an entire building all to yourself.  I am very jealous.

Kenny - let's put all our reloading dies, bullets, powder and primers inna couple of boxes and go on over to Bill's place and relaod everything we have - then we kin go shootin'..   :-D   Mikey.......

Hope you left room fer the frig and microwave....:)

Sounds like a hilift jack and some blocks would have been the place to start......or C4....

I know what ya mean about Nothing square! I live in a house that was built in 1913 and I don't think they had a tape measure back then or didn't use it!

seven-caulk won't work. I got gaps boy, I got sum stuff to stuff in em though.
O.K.-Where ya gonna sleep. Tha hen is already figured out I can sleep out there. Maybe ya can bunk with her, but , I bet she won't go fer that---Hummm, bring a bed roll and a saddle fer tha piller.
Duffy-I got sum plans--but I can't let tha hen know all my secrets. This is the second one of these I bought from these fellers. First was ok an pretty square. Then my hen bought a new place three years ago so I got another one. I think he borrowed tha measurin sticks they had left over from you house.

Boys, i'm tellin ya them barn style buildins got more angles than Madonna. I'm doin ok cause i'm goin slow but its frustratin. My son an his buddy came over last sattity to help me with tha ceiling. My son got so fed up with one piece he decided to use tha bigger hammer method--busted up his finger real good.
Got a feelin i'm gonna be an xpert on moulding fore its over. Dang all of your hides--#@!$$%**&^.

Just do yourself a favor and put the smokes out before you open the powder container!
